Which inspection should be made before Distribution Transformer Installation?

1. Distribution Transformers will suffer great vibration after long-distance transportation, and need to be inspected.

The inspection of transformer body is divided into suspension core and suspension cover. No matter the core or hoods, the contents of inspection are consistent. Inspection of suspension core should be completed within one working day to speed up the inspection process.

2. As an example of the hanging core inspection :

(1) Transformer suspension core should be carried out indoors, if there should be a tent outdoors, to prevent rain, snow, fog, sand and other bad weather prohibition suspension core.
(2) In winter, the temperature of suspension core should not be lower than zero, otherwise, the temperature of iron core should be higher than the surrounding temperature by heating the transformer.
(3)The shorter the exposure time of iron core to air, the better. The relative humidity should not exceed 16 hours at 65% and 12 hours at 25% respectively. The calculation time should be from the beginning of oil discharge to the end of oil injection.
(4) When the relative humidity of the weather exceeds 75%, the core inspection is not allowed.
(5) In the process of core inspection, special attention should be paid to preventing parts and tools from falling into the tank.
